“Financial planning is boring”

That is what I was told by a major investment company years ago when I applied for a job.

Their opinion: people care about stocks, crypto, and real estate.

My opinion: they’re wrong.

When I talked to people the only reason they cared about those things was because they had underlying goals.

Whether that was buying a house, planning for retirement, supporting a family, or one of many other possible goals. There was always a deeper reason.

Most of the personal finance world overlooks this or simply doesn’t care. And for the brave few who do seek out help – they’re often met with out-dated advisors that are focused solely on their investments or selling them an insurance policy.

This is the reason I started WealthGuides.

To help real people, looking for real financial planning for what matters most to them.

Over the years I’ve helped hundreds of individuals and families with financial planning. From busy professionals at Fortune 500 companies to a 98 year old that called me weekly to tell me what stocks I should be investing in – I’ve seen it all.

Having learned from mentors and the best advisors, I distilled down what I saw to be the most successful practices in the planning process into an approach I call the Waypoint Method. It’s a proven system designed to look at your entire financial picture and put you on the path for achieving all your financial and non-financial goals.

Now that doesn’t seem too “boring” to me.
